- Trim the wick to 5 mm. Let the wax melt across the full surface with each use. Place the lit candle on a flat, non-flammable surface, out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a lit candle unattended or near drafts. Do not let the candle burn for more than 3 hours, and extinguish it once only 8 mm of wax remains. Air out the room once the candle is out.
